Perfect No-Hole Heat Press Settings for Perler / Fuse Beads
Want a closed, smooth surface with fewer visible bead holes? These parameters are a practical archive for one proven combo: Top-Link (拓普科) large 25×30 heat press + Xingmang (星芒) beads + 0.25 thick baking cloth on a normal ceramic tile. Other machines and brands need their own calibration — treat this as a starting recipe, not a universal law.
Gear used in this archive
Heat press: Top-Link large 25×30. Beads: Xingmang. Baking cloth: 0.25 thick. Surface: ordinary ceramic tile (not a soft desk mat).
If you use thinner 0.11 cloth, shorten each timed pass by about 1–2 seconds — thin cloth transfers heat faster.
- Pressure: light only — never lean hard
- Motion: straight up and straight down (no sliding)
- Check after every pass when chasing remaining holes
Small–medium projects (within ~7–8 boards)
Base setting: 150°C for 13 seconds per pass.
Workflow: 3 presses to release masking/transfer tape → 2 normal presses → 2 press-with-light-pressure passes → then target any cells that still show holes.
When patching holes, add light hand pressure and lift to inspect after every single pass.
Large projects (~10–14 boards)
Base setting: 150°C for 15 seconds per pass.
Workflow: 3 tape-release presses → 2 normal → 3 press-with-pressure → then fix stubborn holes at 155°C / 15s.
Raising a little heat on the final hole-chase pass usually makes sealed centers easier without cooking the whole board longer from the start.
Special textures: glitter cloth / washcloth
Start: 150°C / 13s × 3 to release tape, then lay towel + washcloth or glitter cloth.
Hold still at 155°C for 60 seconds. Washcloth texture usually needs little to no extra pressure; glitter cloth needs light pressure.
If adhesion looks uncertain, add another ~30 seconds rather than peeling too early (under-melt is harder to fix than a careful reheat).
Do not peel immediately. Wipe the baking cloth with a damp wipe to cool slightly; peel when the piece just starts to curve a little — peeling hot often damages the finish.

Room temperature, bead batch, cloth age, and press calibration all shift results. Run a tiny swatch first.
